The Laver Cup is back at The O2 in London from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September, and British No.1 Arthur Fery is part of Team Europe as the official alternate.

A Brit on the bench
As alternate, Fery sits courtside, practises with the team and steps in if a Team Europe player has to withdraw during the event. Fery began 2026 ranked No.185 and was No.36 when the Laver Cup named him on 21 September. His breakthrough came at Wimbledon, where he reached the semi-finals as a wildcard, beating Cobolli before losing to Zverev.
“I grew up going to The O2, and now playing for Team Europe in the Laver Cup there is really special in front of all the British fans,” Fery told the Laver Cup.

- Team Europe (captain Yannick Noah, vice-captain Tim Henman): Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Flavio Cobolli, Rafael Jodar, Jakub Mensik and Casper Ruud. Alternate: Arthur Fery.
- Team World (captain Andre Agassi, vice-captain Patrick Rafter): Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur, Learner Tien, Brandon Nakashima, Alexander Bublik and Francisco Cerundolo. Alternate: Ignacio Buse. Team World are the defending champions.
How it works
Day one matches are worth one point, day two matches two points and day three matches three points. The first team to 13 of the 24 points wins. If it is 12-12, a final doubles decides it. Friday and Saturday have two singles in the day session, then a singles and a doubles at night. Sunday starts with a doubles, followed by up to three singles.
It is the ninth Laver Cup and the first in London since 2022. In the UK it is live on Sky Sports Tennis and NOW.
